General Assistance
The General Assistance Program is designed to help people in emergencies.  It is designated the program of last resort.  People may be eligible to receive other benefits such as Food Stamps, Veteran's Benefits, or Social Security Income.  To request assistance please contact Megan Witt at 935-2007 ext. 200 or inquire at  Town Office.  There are guidelines that you must meet to be eligible for the program:  an application must be filled out and reviewed for completeness.  The application is private and confidential.  A written decision will be issued by the GA Administrator within 24 hours of receipt of application.  Applications will be issued during office hours Tuesday thru Friday 7:00am-4:00pm.
